Jesus didn't die...

Romans 5:8 (NKJV)
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1. Jesus didn’t die so “I” could live … (my old life)

Galatians 2:20 (NKJV)
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Ephesians 4:22-24 (The Message)
22 Since, then, we do not have the excuse of ignorance, everything - and I do mean everything - connected with that old way of life has to go. It's rotten through and through. Get rid of it! And then take on an entirely new way of life - a God-fashioned life, 23 a life renewed from the inside 24 and working itself into your conduct as God accurately reproduces his character in you.

2. Jesus didn’t die so I can be bound again

3. Jesus didn’t die just so I can be comfortable…

Romans 12:2 (NKJV)
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

… He died so I can be convertible

Convertible - able to be changed in form, function, or character

4. Jesus didn’t die just to make me Happy…

1 Peter 1:16 (NKJV)
because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy."

… He died to make me Holy

(to be) Holydedicated & consecrated to God for a PURPOSE, devoted to the service of God

5. Jesus didn’t die just so I can wait to go to Heaven

Genesis 1:26-28 (NKJV)
26 Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all F2 the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." 27 So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. 28 Then God blessed them, and God said to them, "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth."

6. Jesus didn’t die so I could live ‘just enough’

It’s not enough to live ‘just enough’

John 10:10 (NKJV)
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

1 Corinthians 2:9 (NKJV)
But as it is written: "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him."

Ephesians 3:20
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,

You mean Jesus paid all that price, so you can have an “OK” life? Live life on an “OK” standard? No way! He didn’t die so we can live by excuses. He died so we can live by exploits.

Daniel 11:32 (NKJV)
Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.
